IvIg Tmt.
Posted by: Crystal (---.73-24.tampabay.rr.com)
Date: June 05, 2004 12:39AM I was dx. 3 yrs ago w/cvid and was denied IvIg by previous ins. co. despite Dr's info, etc. Treated infections w/ antibiotics, etc. The infections are becoming more frequent and much longer in duration. I am on more preventative meds than before. I have new ins. but not sure if they will approve due to pre-existing, etc. Since I have not needed to be hospitalized since bout w/meningitis 3 yrs. ago should I just be grateful that my condition is not as bad as alot of others, or would I benefit from the treatments and be less of a burden to my husband and 4 kids? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I typically don't complain but I am tired of ill-informed general M.D.s who are left to treat as best as they know how, and consequently feel like I'm cheating my kids out on Mom time. Thanks for hearing me out...Crystal Re: IvIg Tmt.
