I think my son has been misdiagnosed and was wondering what some of the uncommon symptoms of CIDP and what some of your tests revealed that led them to the diagnosis of CIDP. Things like spinal tap, MRI, Blood. Symptoms such as hearing loss, drooping eyelids, tummy pains. Has anyone been diagnosed with a mito disese first?

My symptons started with the loss of movement in my legs. I was first diagnosed with MS and treated with IV steroids. It took 5 years and 5 Neurologist to get a correct diagnosis. I have more mobility after receiving IVIG therapy. Don't take the word of just 1 doctor about diagnoses, get several opinions. One doctor said it was in my head.
