allergic fungal rhinosinusitis

i am suffering from the fungal sinusits. there is no cure and no way to get rif of it, we can only keep it under control, at least this is what i have been told by my ENT. does anybody have the same diagnosis and what are they taking and dealing with?
of course, i also have an IGG subclass deficiency and i am on the IVIG.
my immunologist is not that crazy about IVIG for me, they are debating if it is any help to the patients with fungal sinusitis.
i would like to hear from you if you suffer from the same disease.

Hi Magnus, I have allergic fungal sinusits, and also IGG subclass deficiency IGG 1 - I am not on IVIG as my Drs, don't think it would help unless I get a very severe infection.
As far as dealing with the fungal sinus issue I try to manage it with steroids when needed and have had 2 sinus surgurys thus far, also use an anti fungal whenneeded its called amphotericin B I take it by nebulizer, but each time I use it it seems to work less. I was DX with the fungal thing about3 years ago after my second surgury, every year I seem to loose more of my sence of smell, I have almost no sence of smell now except for very strong perfume or diesel fumes that both seem to make me sick

I don't have the fungal sinusitis, but I use sinus flushing with warm saline and it alleviates alot of the discomfort. Although not a solution, maybe this might help you feel better.

I have recently been diagnosed with allergic fungal sinusitis after years of suffering and multiple surgeries. I had yet another surgery two weeks ago, but the fungus has already returned. I'm about to start taking antifungals using a nebulizer.
