My son (21months old) is IgA deficent
Posted by: Bensmom (---.ks.ks.cox.net)
Date: March 17, 2007 06:01PM My son is IgA deficent with a IgA level of 26 and it has been dropping. He has been tested every two weeks for the last 6 weeks and has gone from a 57 to a 46 to a 29. He has been VERY sick over the last year. (Since I quit breast feeding him.) He is constantly at the Dr. with various colds, sinus infections, and high fevers. Does anyone know how to help him. Basically, the only feed back I've heard is that hopefully he will out grow it, but he is so miserable. He has been on tons of different antibiotics but they don't really help too much. Also, he has not developed antibodies to prevnar vaccines either. Is there anyone out there who has some advice or similar story? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
