Somatrophins/Human Growth Hormone

Hello everyone, Let me introduce myself! I have two types of PIDs; Selective IgA deficiency and Hypogammaglobulenemia for subclasses I & III. I decided NOT to try the IVIG as offered to me by my immunologist! I am for his practice, the oldest living person with a blood profile such as mine! I have NEVER gone more than 10 days without an infection. I also have Hypothyroidism, frequent migraines, fibromyalgia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Follicultis, Epstein Barr and Mononucleosis (I have had both Mono and EBV diagnosed). With the mono and EBV syndrome, it is obvious I have a little IgG; I was diagnosed first with Mono, then EBV and then Mono and EBV again! (I run at 52% of normal IgG, and about the same for IgA).

With all of this going on, you might wonder why I did not want IVIG? For me, it is a plasma product. I do not know of any synthetic variants on the market for replacement IgG, however ironically enough, I studied Microbiology and worked in The Department of Natural Sciences for a 'top ten' University for the United States. From my knowledge of the current state of medicene, and the contamination of French and German plasma in 1999 with Hepatitis! (I think that is the right year??) The truth as I see it, is that there is no safety in taking the plasma infusions (not to mention one will be blacklisted for life by the Health Insurance Companies (I am on the moment living in the United States. It is a harsh and pathetic environment, but that is another story. Regardless, I do not trust getting plasma infusions. There are several reasons for this;
1) There are many viruses, prions and virons, which cause disease and simply, they are not screened for! What is known as 'Modern Medicene' is really not so modern!
2) The 'blacklisting' of people with chronic health problems, which drives up the cost for health insurance, tremendously! Therefore, I have tried alternate means to enhance my immunity!
3) I have allergies to almost everything, except things found in very cold boimes! For example, I can only eat rye bread! I am allergic to wheat, corn, wheat flour (any type), corn starch, corn syrup, and on and on!

Instead of plasma, I have a different regime which helps to give me strength!

1) I never eat 95% of the some 30 foods and additives that are in food!
2) I take daily infusions of Somatrophin, which helps me very much! I also take 50 mg of DHEA, and 100 mg of 5-http.
3) I try to stay away from crowded places; no concerts, sporting events, etc., with only the exception of International travel.
4) When I must be in crowded place, I add Tamiflu to my regime. On my last three International trips, for the first time in my life, I did not get influenza because of this habit!
5) I try also to avoid using things from other people! Such as, pens,pencials, etc. If I must, then I use a hand sanitizer afterwards!
6) I go also to a chronic pain clinic.

I don't know if telling about my case helps anyone, but considering my blood test results, I believe I did the right thing by deciding against the plasma infusions. I would rather stay in the 'Antibiotic of The Month Club!" I don't know if this information is helpful at all, but for me, it has reduced the number of infections I get, and that is worth something!
Regards, Meisha
