cutaneous sarcoidosis

Hello,

I am a newbie, this is my first post.

I am a 50 year-old male and was diagnosed with atypical CVID in 2002 after a year of severe, basically bedridden fatigue.

I recieve IVIG monthly at home, and my nurse is kind enough to do it overnight with a pump. I have all the usual symptoms, and an annual sinusitus that becomes pneumoniia. Other than that, I do OK.

After I had shoulder surgery for a torn rotator cuff in December, I had these bumps form on my skin. They are small and round, and non pustular and asymptomatic other than they are a bit unsightly. During my last bout with pneumonia a month ago, the bums got worse. Mostly my arms, hands (especially the wrist) and after the recent sickness, my scalp and forehead. Both times I took massive amounts of antibiotics, so that may be a common thread.

They did a biopsy, and they determined the bump was sarcoidosis. Anyone else dealt with this?

Also anyone else in the San Francisco Bay Area?

Dear Ipmman,
I have chronic sinusitis all the time, and I take antibiotics every day, mainly to keep me from having extremely bad headaches. I am surprised that you only have annual sinusitis. I have not been diagnosed with Sarcoidosis, but I have read that it is rare disease of the lungs, which as you probably know, all lung problems in CVID are common. How how are your levels of IGG? Do you have trouble breathing? I have really bad headaches that start with sinusitis. A neurologist diagnosed them as migraines, but they always start out as sinus infections.
