European Commission response Health Technology Assessments and PIDs

The European Commission published today its response to the Parliamentary Question on Health Technology Assessments (HTAs) tabled by Mrs Glenis Willmott, Member of the European Parliament (S&D, UK), in January. Mrs Willmott had chaired the IPOPI Policy Forum on HTAs and Primary Immunodeficiencies in December 2011, an event which was attended by nine MEPs. The full text of the Commission's response is available here. IPOPI has also produced a set of EU recommendations which will be used in further advocacy events to ensure the views of the PID patients are taken into account in relevant HTA developments.
