WPIW week is one day away
World Primary Immunodeficiencies Week (WPIW) is observed every year from April 22 to29 to shed light on the most pressing issues for the primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) community.
Today, we are launching the call to action "We must ensure access to life-saving Immunoglobulin Therapies for People with Primary Immunodeficiency". It urges policy-makers, health authorities and healthcare funders to address the barriers that prevent access to the best-suited immunoglobulin replacement therapy for each individual with PID and can be found here. We encourage you to relay it on your websites and social media.
WPIW photo contest
This year’s campaign includes a fun and competitive way to raise awareness on social media! A photo contest will take place on Twitter, on Facebook and on Instagram. All you need to do is share a picture using the hashtags #PIctureAwareness and #WPIW on your preferred social media.
The two winning pictures will be selected by WPIW’s steering committee and promoted in the campaign communication channels. Winners will receive a WPIW thank you award and their inclusion in the next WPIW poster will be considered (if related to the campaign image and theme).
Participation is limited to one picture per participant.
The official WPIW 2017 press release is already available here.
You can share it the local and national media and link it to your own event to raise further interest. Let's join our voices for improved access to therapies for people with PIDs!
