Update Summer 2000

JERUSALEM November 5 - 8 2000

The members of the Executive Committee look forward to welcoming you to our meeting in Jerusalem in November. We all derive a great deal of strength from those meetings - and it is good to meet old friends and to make new ones as well!!

We have an exciting joint programme with ESID, and we have just added two sessions to our own programme. The first is a session based on the international plasma supply situation as it affects immunoglobulins, and will be given by an industry representative. We will also hold a specialist session on CVID. The Norwegian Patient organisation will also show us their new video presentation and our friend Maj-Lis will tell us about the first IPOPI book - The Story of the Primary Immunodeficiencies.

Some assistance with travel costs may be available from IPOPI. However we must emphasise the need to seek funding in your home country in the first instance. If, having exhausted all local possibilities for funding, you may apply to IPOPI. Your application should be addressed to Mrs Pizzera and include documentary evidence of your efforts to fundraise in your own country and the replies to those letters. Applications will then be considered by a small sub-committee comprising Mrs Pizzera, Mr Kulmala and Mrs Larssen.
